So today was my third day of class and I was done at 11 a.m. It was sunny and warm so some of us decided to drive to the beach in my flatmate's car (which is pretty much a tin can on wheels). We rented wetsuits and surfboards from the unipol (recreation centre) and went to a beautiful beach about a 20 minute drive away. The water is really cold but with wetsuits it isn't bad. The waves weren't huge but we were still able to surf a bit and I'm getting better! It was such a nice day - and I was pretty thrilled that I was able to do it on a weekday. Afterwards we picked up some fish and chips and ate them on a dock on the ocean. Then we came back to our flat and had a waterfight in the yard! It was a good day.
In addition to the clubs I talked about before, I signed up for weekly thai cooking and african dance classes! I'm pretty excited!!!
