Queenstown!

Hello everyone,

So as I said in my last post, this past weekend I went to Queenstown, which is pretty much the tourist capital of New Zealand. We took a roadtrip in a couple cars and drove about 4 hours to get there. So I wasn't planning on it but I ended up doing the Nevis bungy jump, which is 134m!!!! Keep in mind the last one I did was 43m. This was SO much scarier! I screamed so loud but was still scared on my way up and I was holding the bungy cord so tight that my arm cramped up when I let go! It was insane but so much fun because I did it with 7 of my friends so we were all in it together! The videos and pictures are amazing! Then, as if we hadn't done enough, 6 of us decided to do a tandem giant swing (120m up). I went with Sarah, and you would think it would be less scary after bungy jumping but I was still freaking out. For some reason this time my leg cramped up...weird reactions to fear? I don't know but it was so fun and I don't think I'll ever have such an adrenaline rush again!

The first night we had stayed at a hostel but the next night five of us went camping at a holiday park in town, which was fun! We had lots of delicious food including "Fergburger", a delicious burger place, and turkish kebabs! On Sunday we went on a hike in Glenorchy, which is a BEAUTIFUL area near Queenstown. Where we went ther was a Mt. McIntosh, which was pretty exciting! I got a picture with my mountain too! And we saw some pretty cool mountain goats!

Overall it was an AMAZING weekend and we were all exhausted by the end of it!

Other than that, things are going well. Yesterday Sarah and I went for a run and decided to run up Baldwin Street aka. the steepest stree in the world!!!! It was really tough, but we did it and managed to inspire a couple strangers to do it once we finished! Thrilling! Afterwards I made one of my thai recipes for my flatmates and although there was a lot of smoke, a melted spatula, and a big mess, it turned out pretty well! Today is April Fool's so our flat woke up to our shower and our entire toilet room being filled to the brim with balloons thanks to our neighbours! So now there are balloons EVERYWHERE. AND some girls and I are currently trying to book a trip to Tonga for our mid-semester break in less than 2 weeks! Yikes! Hopefully it works out because it would be pretty awesome! That's all for now!
