Hey everyone!
So I just spent 2 days on a sailboat in the Whitsunday Islands! It was absolutely beautiful and very cool! We got to see some great sights, swim on the beach, tan on the sailboat and do some AMAZING snorkeling! It was so cool - tons of colourful fish, lots of cool coral. I'm hoping to get an underwater camera for when we go to the great barrier reef because it is amazing! However, the boat also definitely tested my limits!!! I could not have spent another day on it for sure! It wasn't very big and there were 29 of us living on it - it was hot and sweaty and dirty, we couldn't shower and we had 2 toilets - one right beside my bed which smelled horrible! The first morning it poured and by less than a day in all of my clothes were either wet or dirty! I can normally handle a lot but it was hard!! I made sure I slept on the deck at night rather than my allocated bed because I just couldn't do it! The heat, the smell, the closeness - I shared a mat with another girl and there was a guy sleeping on a hamock directly above us...like a foot. Haha but it was still very fun for sure...although I don't think I could ever do it again!
The day before sailing started we spent at a country homestead which I absolutely loved! It was basically this cattle farm in the middle of nowhere!! They had this building built for the tours to come in and it was really nice! All of the people were great, great food, CRAZY kids - who I loved...they were actually crazy hahaha finally I could relate to someone! Haha just kidding but not really. We went on a cattle tour on the back of a tractor and at night we did karaoke!!!! It was my moment to shine!!! Haha apparently the rest of my group isn't into it as much seeing as I sung 3 of the 6 songs haha but I loved it! I sang Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Rae Cyrus, Man! I feel like a woman by Shania Twain and Everybody by the Backstreet Boys ahaha. It was fun!
The couple days before that we were at Fraser Island - the largest sand island in the world! It was pretty cool - we did a 4 wheel tour which was pretty rough, walked through the rainforest, saw a beautiful clear lake in the middle with sand that you could use to exfoliate and polish your teeth! And at night we had a toga party! It was cool because we stayed in this cottage type place. So everything is great the people are great but I miss you all lots and lots!!!!!!!!
