Great Barrier Reef!

Hey everyone!

My contiki tour is coming to an end shortly and a lot of our group is actually leaving us today - which is pretty sad. We spent the last two days in Cairns, which is an awesome city with lots of opportunities for adventure! The first night we all went out to celebrate Australia Day as well as one of the girl's birthdays and it was so much fun! The next morning we had to wake up bright and early to go white water rafting on the Tully River which was AMAZING! The scenery was stunning and the rapids were intense! It was a long ride with lunch included and we got to swim down the rapids a little, jump off a big rock, flip the boat a couple times - it was great!
The next day we went out on a boat to the great barrier reef which was awesome! I had an introductory scuba dive lesson which was really cool and I got to see a ton of fish, lots of cool coral and a sea turtle right up in my face!!!! I got a picture with it actually! SO cool. I have to go because my bus is leaving but I'll be back on when I can. Heading up to the rainforest now!
