Helloooooooooo.
So I don't have too much to report. I spent the weekend in Dunedin, but some of us decided to do all the Dunedin tourist things. So we did a tour of Cadbury World (aka the Cadbury chocolate factory aka my paradise), and Speights Brewery (aka the brewer of New Zealand's favourite beer). Interesting fact: some ingredient in beer was first used in Canada to prevent people from getting scurvy - who knew? From this came about the smart comment that some Canadians actually have uses...do you see the beating we take overseas? Sarah and I also went to the Otago Museum and the Otago Settlers Museum which were both free of charge! The museum had a really cool display of photographs from Antarctica and "Butterfly World," where they house a ton of different butterflies. The settlers museum had a cool display of old modes of transportation, as well as a ton of old paintings and photographs of settlers in Dunedin - all very interesting.
I'm now trying to finish three big assignments before Friday because we're going to Fox Glacier for the weekend! Four of us are going on a guided walk on the glacier...cooool. I'm very excited!
AND tomorrow my complex is having a huge Thanksgiving-type dinner! There's going to be turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, pumpkin pie, and so much more (including haggis!). I'm making mashed potatoes. Yum.
